There are three brothers: Alex, who has a white-collar career; Pat, a small business owner; and Chris, an essential worker. Months into the pandemic, their certainties and circumstances are crumbling. Chris has had COVID; Pat’s cafe has failed. Their mother Sharon has dementia. Then Alex—the stable one—calls a Zoom meeting to confess that he has lost his job. They are forced into uncharted territory, seeking new ways to understand what it means to be a family.
