In November, he made his return to Hartford Opera Theatre to sing the role of Stanley in Liam Wade’s, The Stranger the Better for HOT’s New in November Festival.
Here is what Tony had to say about "opera without borders" -
I feel that “opera without borders” speaks to the unlimited communicative potential inherent to the genre. Through the music, drama, orchestra, voices, text, scenery, costumes, and lighting, opera provides the audience with a multitude of options in which to convey the story. It also gives professionals from different areas of stage and music the opportunity to take part in something larger than their chosen discipline, and contribute in a meaningful way. Whether they are the lighting designer, stage manager, a set builder, or musician in the orchestra, everyone involved is taking part in the communication of the story and music. It truly is an art form that brings people together.
See you next Sunday!
